Halcyon Piper is a Kansas-based theatrical lighting designer, programmer, and electrician.

Halcyon recently received his BFA in Theatre Design and Production from Oklahoma City University with an emphasis in Lighting Design.

Halcyon’s recently designs include Rent for the Oklahoma Opera and Music Theater Company, and the world premiere of Pietà, a new opera by Andrea DelGiudice and Jake Landau, at Oklahoma City University.

This summer, he served as the Assistant Master Electrician at Idaho Shakespeare Festival under ME Joshua Prescott-Smith and designers Rick Martin and Trad Burns.

When he’s outside of the theatre, Halcyon enjoys playing video games and engaging in pointless Internet discourse on topics such as linguistics, vexillology, and cat photos.
